A Girl From the Café

She was just sitting there at the corner of the café
Had something to read, poring over it, when I appeared
I was thinking about how to approach her, what to say
When she turned around and looked at me, it all became so clear

That the words are no longer needed
Our eyes spoken for themselves
It was like we were so drawn to each other

The most important thing is not what you say but how (you say it)
Pay attention to the little moments in time
Never miss that train that’s leaving right now
Speeding through a scene with (such) a view sublime

Where words are no longer needed
Our eyes spoke for themselves
It was like we were so drawn to each other
As if we had known each other for years

She just sat there at the corner of the café’.
